The need to coordinate efforts in the combat threats to the democratic system must lead to close cooperation between the government authorities responsible for security and the media. The latter must accept their role as front line fighters in the struggle that must be waged to defend democracy and the supreme good, which is freedom. The media should be seen as allies in forming public opinion that is aware, active and informed. This is why we need a policy of truth that will make it unnecessary to look for information in sources that are unsound or completely unsafe. This relationship of trust and shared responsibility is absolutely essential, which means that the information media regard themselves as an active, important part of security policy, not only for a state and its people, but above all for a system, the democratic system, which has taken centuries to construct and which we want to preserve.
