(ii) the date of the entry into force of this Protocol; (iii) the deposit of any instrument of denunciation of this Protocol together with the date on which it is received and the date on which the denunciation takes effect; (iv) any communication called for by any article of this Protocol; (v) any proposal to amend the Annex which has been made in accordance with article 22, paragraph 2; (vi) any amendment deemed to have been adopted in accordance with article 22, paragraph 3; (vii) any amendment ratified, accepted or approved in accordance with article 22, paragraph 4, together with the date on which that amendment shall enter into force; and (b) transmit certified true copies of this Protocol to all States which have signed or acceded to this Protocol.

3 As soon as this Protocol enters into force, a certified true copy of the text shall be transmitted by the Secretary-General to the Secretary-General of the United Nations for registration and publication in accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations.

ARTICLE 24

Languages This Protocol is established in a single original in the Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish languages, each text being equally authentic.

DONE AT LONDON this fourteenth day of October two thousand and five.

PROTOCOLO DE 2005 RELATIVO À CONVENÇÃO PARA A SUPRESSÃO DE ATOS ILÍCITOS CONTRA A SEGURANÇA DA NAVEGAÇÃO MARÍTIMA

Preâmbulo

OS ESTADOS PARTES no presente Protocolo, SENDO PARTES na Convenção para a Supressão de Atos Ilícitos contra a Segurança da Navegação Marítima concluída em Roma a 10 de março de 1988, RECONHECENDO que os atos terroristas ameaçam a paz e segurança internacional, TENDO PRESENTE a Resolução A.924(22) da Assembleia da Organização Marítima Internacional em que se solicita a revisão das presentes medidas técnicas e jurídicas internacionais e a consideração de novas medidas que visem prevenir e suprimir o terrorismo contra navios e melhorar a segurança a bordo e em terra e, por conseguinte, reduzir o risco para os passageiros, tripulações e pessoal dos portos, a bordo e nas áreas portuárias, e para as embarcações e suas respetivas cargas, CONSCIENTES da Declaração sobre as Medidas para Eliminar o Terrorismo Internacional, anexa à Resolução 49/60, da Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas, de 9 de dezembro de 1994, em que, entre outros, os Estados Membros das Nações Unidas reafirmam solenemente a sua condenação inequívoca de todos os
