If, after a period of ten years foil owing the entry into force of this Convention, no conference haa been convened in accordance with subparagraph Ma) or 2(el of this Article, any High Contracting Party say request the Oepoeitary to convene « confurenee to vhich all High Contracting Partlea shall be Invited to review the scope and operation of this Convention and the Protocols annexed thereto and to consider any proposal for asendaents of this Convention or of the existing Protocols. States not parties to this Convention ohall be invited as observers to the conference. The conference any agree upon amendments vhich a hall be adopted and enter into force In accordance with subparagraph 1(b) above.
(b) At ouch conference consideration any also bs given to any proposal for additional protocols relating to other categories of conventional veapons not covered by the existing annexed Protocols. All States represented at the conference aay participate fully In such consideration. Any additional protocols □hall be adopted in the name otannsr as this Convention, shall be annexed thereto and ohall enter into force as provided in paragraphs 3 and • of Article 5 of this Convention.

Article 9 Denunciation
1. Any Hlrh Contracting Party nay denounce thie Convention or any of its snaexed Protocols by so notifying the Depositary,
2. Any such denunciatlan shall only take affect one year after receipt by the Depositary of the notifice'.lon of denunciation. If, bovrrer, on the expiry of that year the denouncins: High Contracting Party is engaged In one of the situations referred to in Article 1, the Party shall continue to be bound by the obligations of this Convention and of the relevant annexed Protocols until the end of the armed conflict or occupation and, In any case, until the temlnatlon of operations connected vltb the final release, repatriation or re-eetabli sJment of the oeroons protected by the rules of International lav applicable in armed conflict, and In the case of any annexed Protocol containing provisions concerning situations In vhich peace-keeping, observation or siallar functions are performed by United ftatloss forces or miisioaa in the area concerned, until the termination of those functions.
3. Any denunciation of this Convention shall bs considered as also applying to oil annexed Protocols by which the deuouncine*High Contracting Party is bound.

Article 10 Depositary
